From the President

Thank you for visiting the Grand web site. We trust it is both informative and entertaining.

The dream of owning their own golf course is now true for Grand members. Just ten years ago it was only part of a Grand vision of nine golfing friends. This in itself is a remarkable achievement. Add the successful staging of the Australian Open in November 2001, and a course rated by its designer Greg Norman as a truly outstanding members course and you can then understand why we at the Grand have a delighted, proud and happy membership.

With the world-wide televison and print media exposure, as a result of The Australian Open, the club's reputation has spread far and wide and with the continued help and support from our members, it won't be too long before our membership is closed.

The Grand is certainly one of life's unique privileges and unlikely to be repeated. A world standard championship golf course with a debt free freehold title is owned by a maximum of 555 avid golfers. A club with comfort and amenities to match - if not surpass - the most elegant standards.

The Grand Golf Club would like to welcome Master James Young, who at age 6 is our youngest member. The father of James, Ray Young was our youngest member when the club first opened in 1997. We are excited to see some young blood come into the club and wish James happy golfing for a very long time to come.
